  • Cappuccino

A ‘traditional morning heart starter’. A richer and more flavorful espresso, cappuccino is served with steamed milk. Finished by topping with foam and a sprinkle of chocolate powder.   • Turkish Coffee

The term “Turkish coffee” describes the drink’s preparation – there’s no special Turkish coffee bean. Turkish coffee involves beans that have been roasted 2 or 3 times and lightly powdered with sugar, making for a very powerful drink. Made by boiling finely ground coffee and water together to form a muddy, thick coffee mix. In fact, the strongest Turkish coffee can almost keep a spoon standing upright.  The sugar adds extra calories to the coffee, but it’s usually served without milk or cream, making this strong but sweet drink a fine choice for more health-conscious consumers. It’s often made in what’s known as an Ibrik, a long-handled, open, brass or copper pot. It is then poured, unfiltered, into tiny Demitasse cups, with the fine grounds included. It’s then left to settle for a while before serving, with sugar and spices often added to the cup.

  • Americano (American)

Also known as "Lungo" or "Long Black" and made by mixing  1-2 shots of espresso with hot water in order to approximate the texture, flavor and body of an American-style drip coffee. An Americano is simply an espresso that has been drawn out with extra water to an American strength beverage. Italians typically don't drink American Strength coffee. They drink espresso in tiny cups. Then the tourists came and wanted a mug of coffee like they get at home. The Italian solution was to make an espresso and keep the water running through the grounds to weaken the coffee, and make the desired quantity.
